Apparently NOT fired

Well he was super close the yard the last 2 days and this morning they got him another load headed for Georgia so apparently he is not fired. Which is a good thing .. we may still be without a paycheck this coming week but there will be one the following week and its easier to recover from 1 missed paycheck than several. I think at this point we will push through for as long as we can before making the leap. More than likely he will clean out the truck at Christmas. We will see. Maybe after the New Year. I guess we need to talk about it some more.

So he left out on Monday morning. 

When he got to the truck and started it up and the Qualcomm powered up there was a load already waiting. He thinks they sent it last week some time but no one called him .. had they called him he would have left a bit earlier than Monday morning but oh well what do you do. 

I guess when he stopped to get fuel the first time there was no advance on the card so he called in. His dispatcher put $100 on it for him but it makes us wonder why there was no advance. I am trying to be positive and think that maybe it was because he wasnt under a load for so long but then the thoughts creep in of are they going to fire him. He is headed for Nebraska should be there some time this afternoon so we will see if they take him into the yard or they give him a load going somewhere else. 

It's all so up in the air right now and its frustrating to say the least!!! 

About that Paycheck

Well we got the paycheck stub yesterday and it's right so now we have to decide are we still going to quit or try to push through until the first of the year??? 

I am almost certain there will be no paycheck next week and if they dont get him any miles when he is ready to leave on Monday then the next paycheck will be either nothing or very very little .. which that starts the downhill slide of us being behind on everything. 

This is all so frustrating and leaves us in a position of what to do..... 

Ideally we would like to stay until the first of the year .. this is such a horrible time of  year to jump companies. 

I guess ultimately the decision is his and I will just have to let it be. 

It has been so long

It really has been so long since I blogged and I have decided I am going to "try" to get better at it. 

So much has happened this year. 

The last time I blogged hubby was just starting a new company. 

For the most part it has been going good but now lately it has tanked .. why this seems to happen with every company I dont understand. 

The problem with this one is they are blaming him and saying that he is not getting the miles because he complains about the loads and makes comments about how crappy they are so because of that the dispatchers are afraid to call him and offer him loads. I think that is absolutely ridiculous and very very unprofessional to say the least. 

As an employer ... management ... or owner of the company if you have a problem with an employee no matter what it may be you should address that problem in a professional manner. 

Someone can not change a behavior that they are not aware of. 

These circumstances have made hubby so upset that he is ready to leave the company. He hasnt really liked it to start with but we were making guaranteed money which has enabled us to catch up our bills and even buy a new car. 

But at this time we feel its best to just cut our ties and move on. It's hard to have respect for someone that obviously doesnt respect you. 

I have begun going to church again and trying to regain my relationship with god and make my spiritual journey more of a priority. 

I am still babysitting the grands. 

We have a new baby kitten in the house that we found outside under the Azalea bush. We had to bring her in because it is so cold outside right now. So we are in the adjustment phase .. getting her box trained and teaching the kids to not maul her to death. I named her Minka. 

Today is Thanksgiving. 

We will have both girls home with all the grands. 

Hubby is home. 

It will be a full house and we will all have full bellies. 

Looking forward to just spending time together as a family.
